Barga hosts Pumpkin Festival 2026: local produce, markets, and Halloween workshops.

From October 29th to 31st 2026, Barga will host the Pumpkin Festival, organized by InterGAS: markets featuring local producers, custodian growers, and Halloween carving.

The Pumpkin Festival arrives in Barga: three days dedicated to seasonality and local produce.

The village of Barga is preparing to celebrate the flavors of autumn and local biodiversity with the first annual Pumpkin Festival. Organized by the InterGAS Valle del Serchio solidarity purchasing group in collaboration with the Garfagnana Food and Agrobiodiversity Community, the event will be held from October 29 to 31, 2026, at Via Papa Giovanni XXIII (number 30), offering a rich calendar of events for families and local food supply chain enthusiasts.

The program: organic markets, pumpkin carving, and children's entertainment

The event focuses on promoting the area and the autumnal traditions associated with the All Saints' Day long weekend:

  • Thursday 29 October (5:00 pm - 7:00 pm): Official opening with the market of local producers of the GAS Valle del Serchio.

  • Friday, October 30 (10:00 am - 6:00 pm): Farmers' market with the special participation of the Garfagnana Guardian Cultivators. In the afternoon (3:00 pm - 5:00 pm), get creative with a workshop to choose and decorate your own Halloween pumpkin.

  • Saturday 31 October (10:00 am - 6:00 pm): New market day and, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, great themed entertainment with TataTina, ready to entertain the little ones with Halloween masks, make-up and tattoos.

Useful information: Admission to all activities is free. Please note that, as this is an outdoor event, the event will not take place in case of rain.
