The Other Academic: The Bagni di Lucca Theater opens to stand-up comedy and live music.
The Teatro Accademico in Bagni di Lucca, a jewel of the historic heritage of the Middle Serchio Valley, is renewing itself and opening its doors to contemporary performing arts. Conceived and produced by Fabio Belli's Epic Fun with the patronage of the Municipal Administration, "L'Altro Accademico" is born: an innovative program designed to complement the traditional prose season with concerts, stand-up comedy, monologues, and events designed to engage young people and attract new tourists.
December 2026 events: a national preview of De André and the comedy of Samuele Rossi
The first edition will kick off in December with two shows of great artistic value and strong appeal:
Friday, December 4, 2026 (9:00 PM) – De André – The Story | 30 Years of Anime Salve: The Teatro Accademico will host the national preview and the first date of the tour dedicated to one of the absolute masterpieces of Italian songwriting. Sunday 13 December 2026 (6.00 pm) – Rossi's outbursts: Make way for irreverent comedy and everyday satire with Samuele Rossi 's new and hilarious show, ready to conquer the audience with his direct and overwhelming style.
Culture and tourism: the vision of the Municipality of Bagni di Lucca
As underlined by the Councillor for Events Priscilla Valentino and the Councillor for Tourism Maria Barsellotti, the project aims to break down the distance between the audience and the stage:
Live Socialization: The initiative responds to the need to offer real cultural experiences, bringing people back to sharing emotions in person outside of digital screens.
Promoting the area: Expanding the offerings with contemporary performances will transform Bagni di Lucca into a dynamic and attractive tourist destination year-round.
Information and advance sales: Tickets for "L'Altro Accademico" events are available for advance sale on the official TicketOne circuit.
